cannot be compared to any band I know - which is a compliment for sure!
The most striking feature is the extensive use of violin (by François
Beaugard), which puts a strong mark on the sound. And frankly, his
play doesn't sound any of the rock violinists that I know... Highest

"Open Letter To My Friend
continues this weird but imposing story in a style which is a mix of Roger
Waters and Steve Harley (the latter occured to me more often in the
earlier tracks). This part is really sublime, the melody is genius, the
lyrics are devastating, especially when read within the context of the
story. Comes heartily recommended.

Ergänzung zur klassischen Rockbesetzung herausstellen, verschiedene

höre nur mal den langen Instrumentalpart am Anfang des genannten

hard to find a flaw here, but perhaps I'm so enamoured of the album, that
I'm overlooking them. Even if the packaging were crap, this would be a
title well worth seeking out. The packaging only enhances the music,
provides a fuller context, but it isn't essential to enjoying the music.
But how rare to not have to guess what the concepts are about, and how
unique. Bravo!"

melancholy masterpiece that tells a riveting story of a poet, the
Internet, and a shocking suicide... Small People has a great
deal of complexity, both in music and in characters. It will take numerous

22:38 min. mid section of this concept, "In The Kingdom Of
Madness", opens with "Dripping Cloud" and we are talking a
whole new ball game here. This is good prog rock with piano and violin.
These two instruments continue to feature heavily on "No Sun Can
Shine", this track gives you the shivers it's so good. This is a
major, spell binding piece of work which becomes very emotional stuff as
the guitar and violin duet. "Darkness" follows with piano/violin
and emotional vocals till the drums and guitar kick in, this is grand
stuff... The
album ends with the 02sec. "Therapy, pt. II" with a voice that
says "Any other questions?". Well, I for one have. When's your
next masterpiece due for release?

pressent déjà que la musique ne va pas être banale et qu'il faudra
chercher ailleurs que dans les canons progressifs les points de
référence...
Le "zappage" du concept est interdit: un morceaux commence comme
un rock bien pêchu avec ses "Oh Baby" racoleurs pour se
terminer en un solo de guitare "Guilmourien", bluesy-prog (si,
c'est possible !) en diable. Et que dire de "Another fine day of..." ? Cela part comme du Kansas progressif, pour se développer
en une lente progression, où la guitare se mêle au violon dans une
tresse musicale qui monte en crescendo vers le Nirvana de la musique rock symphonique..."
